Vellum and Butterflies
I'm taking a class called Clear and Sheer at Online Card Classes that gives lots of great inspiration for using vellum and acetate.
This card combines several of the tips from the first couple of days. It has a vellum window sandwiched between the card and a panel die-cut at the same time. I stamped a mason jar image in Brilliance ink (platinum planet) and then embossed it with a stylus from the wrong side of the paper to make the lines bolder and to give it some shading. The butterflies were stamped and dabbed with diluted Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry. The photo doesn't show it, but inside the card I stamped a twig and leaf as if they're inside the jar. The vellum is just a little heavy for the illusion to work well.
I prepared extras of everything (just in case!) so I'll be able to make another card the same. One to keep and one to give away?

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love the idea of having a twig and leaf behind the front panel. This is a great use of the techniques we are learning.
